That is where I found many fine sitters. Unfortunately, they stopped doing that when my kids were still small. Another resource might be through group associations. The Newcomers Club used to maintain a sitter list, but I don't know if they still do so. There is a wide age range in the Jaycees - one of our sitters was a daughter of someone my husband met throught that group. I would think the WICS would also be a resource.
